TEN TIPS FOR LOOKING GOOD
GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Get enough sleep. Having a good night’s sleep enables your body (and brain) to repair itself; that means you function better and look
better too.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
Make sure you have a good cleansing routine and – if you wear make up – always take it off before going to bed. And use moisturisers,
including at night, as they will really benefit your skin.
HAVE A HEALTHY DIET
The right nutrients not only benefit your body, but improve your skin quality and avoid skin damage.
AVOID SMOKING
Not as big an issue as in the past, but smoking definitely increases skin ageing.
WEAR SHAPES, COLOURS AND STYLES THAT COMPLEMENT YOUR OWN COLOURING AND BODY SHAPE
No space to cover this in detail, but I can do another tips sheet on it later and there’s also information about this in some of my books.
MAKE SURE YOUR CLOTHES FIT WELL
And if hems or sleeves are too long, get them shortened.
LOOK AFTER YOUR HAIR (IF YOU HAE ANY)!
A good hair cut makes an enormous difference to your appearance.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN, AND WITH, WHAT YOU ARE WEARING
If you like what you’re wearing you’ll probably come across as more relaxed and happy, which impacts on appearance.
THINK ABOUT BODY LANGUAGE
Sit or stand ‘tall’, relax your shoulders, avoid frowning or fidgeting and maintain a comfortable posture.
BREATHE AS WELL AS YOU CAN
Deep breaths give you more oxygen which helps your body function well. Good breathing will support everything you do.
